Star Trek: Terra Alpha

Time had become a foreign concept in her dark and isolated cell. During the first part of her imprisonment she tried to keep track of passing time, but she gave up in the end. There was nothing to distinguish night from day to help aid her and food came at irregular intervals. It also made her think of escaping.

She laid on the floor for days in the beginning paralyzed by the shocks unable to control her thoughts. Each shock adding to a desire to escape and creating a new idea or a hint of plan. It reminded her of the times Dominus would shock K’n’zy. Then the memories of K’n’zy’s desire to escape would trigger a new wave of shocks.

Clearing her mind was the only thing that seemed to work but the solitude. There were no sounds outside the cell and no light. All she had was the feel of the wall and the floor. She spent most of her days running her fingertips slowly along the walls to keep her mind from wondering. Mostly, to keep from going completely insane.

It had been nearly a month, Ophelia was going through the multi-verse looking for someone special... someone to really push Kinsey straight over the edge. Until... he finally found the right person.

The cell opened, the light was blinding to Kinsey, having been kept in perpetual darkness for weeks. She poked her head in and smirked. "I've turned the shockers off... but the psionic blockers are still cranked up so I really don't care if you have a headache." she turned to a bound, half naked man who looked like he had been fighting. "Found this... just wandering." she slapped him upside the head. "Looks like your stupid genius husband finally slipped up. Went a lot bonkers too."

“Ja..Jack.” Kinsey said, her throat dry from disuse as crawled halfway toward them. She couldn’t sense him but she could see him standing there in the light. She just wanted to touch him it felt like so long. “Jack.”

"So... you have a choice sweet cheeks..." Ophelia said as she stroked Jack's face. "I can let you have a few minutes together, maybe formulate an escape plan... and then we rain holy fucking hell down on your planet. Or." she levitated her kilden. "You take him out. Live the last few moments of Terra Alpha's existence together... or grow some nerve and end his life right here, right now and we let everyone live."

“No.” Kinsey said as she reached for him.

"K'n'zy... mine for everyone else's... it's simple math." Jack replied as he looked at her. "At least... we're together now."

"Tic tock Kinsey." Ophelia said as she spun the kilden around in the air. "It should be a simple choice. He found out you're still alive. Loose lips and all that."

"I... I don't want to but... if you must. K'n'zy... I love you." Jack said as he closed his eyes.

“No I can’t.” Kinsey said as she started to cry. “Anything else. I’ll do anything else.”

"I'd threaten you with fucking your husband but that's not a real threat is it?" Ophelia replied. "It's death or the Apocalypse... " she put her hand on Jack's chest. "Just take the blade... put it right here... it'll be nice and quick. It'll take a few moments, plenty of time for a heartfelt good bye... and then... I beam him to the Capitol with a nice cheery little message that 'this could have been everyone else' and you go back in the box."

"K'n'zy... please... don't trade my life for everyone else's... it's not a fair trade the other way around." Jack said as he looked at her.

"Be a good wifey and listen to your hubby... " Ophelia said as she sat on Jack's lap. "Almost sounds like he wants to die... it's almost heroic."

“Get off him.” Kinsey said sternly as she reached for him.

Ophelia smiled and got up. "Make a choice or I make it for you." she said and held the kilden out to her. "Don't even think of using it on me... personal force field." she activated it and touched her leg and it just made sparks.

"K'n'zy... she's going to kill everyone you don't do it... just... make it quick luv." Jack said as he looked into her eyes. "Don't doom everyone for me."
