Selene laughed, “Well if she were my daughter she wouldn’t need the help.”

"Oh you two made a hell of a team. Taught her my style of fighting and you taught her your's. Plus she was trained by a few others. One of my evil counterparts, going by my former last name of Bartyn blew up my house and her's last year. Nearly killed her and the President but they survived. I'm still rebuilding our place, guess I don't need to rush to rebuild your part of the armory. I may as well have some of the gear brought here, we just ordered like a dozen new suits for her. I do like that design, but these new ones got some extra stretchy webbing in the leg crotchal area so you don't tear it when you do that high side kick thing. And they actually breathe so you don't have that spam wrapped in leather aroma."

“Hey, I thought about marketing that aroma.” Selene laughed. “Alright I have a fact for you Cross…I have honestly never genuinely laughed this much. Drink.”

[Clint Cross]

"That's good. Hey I'll send up some really decent take out. We used to bond over really crappy take out on Byron after a mission, but life's too short for crappy take out." Clint said and winced as he heard the comm go off again. "I better take this..." he tapped the comm. "Hey Bells... sorry I got a little... delayed." he glanced at Selene. "Met an old friend at Joe's."

[Isabella price]

“Jesus fucking Christ Dad I thought you were dead or something. Jon was getting ready to send Eli to look for you.” Bella said trying to sound angry, but Selene could hear the relief in it. “Were you still coming, or did you want to reschedule? The kids already ate.”

[Clint Cross]

"I'd like to say reschedule but all I have in me is about a half bottle of bourbon..." Clint rubbed his neck and glanced at Selene. "Yeah I'll come around, I'll just transport in. Those kids always manage to eat fast anyway."

[Isabella price]

“You know if you’re still at Joe’s he does sell food.” Bella chuckled softly then grew serious. “Dad, I was just worried. Ya know…we haven’t done something like this since Mom and when you didn’t answer…Spend time with your friend. We can always do this tomorrow or breakfast in the morning. We can watch Kaitlyn and James tonight. The twins and Carly are still at Jason's.”

[Clint Cross]

Clint smiled and nodded his head. "Breakfast then... give Kaitlyn a kiss for me." he saw Selene's amused expression. "I'll call you in the morning."

[Liara]

“I will and Dad…only half a bottle Mom would be disappointed.” Bella said sounding amused as she ended the call.

“I’m disappointed too you beat me at my own game.” Selene said as she filled her glass and drained it. “I like your daughter.”

"I had a feeling you would." Clint said with a chuckle. "Well, I was only holding back because I knew I'd have to go eventually, time got away from me." he gestured with his head to the door. "How about we get another bottle and we have dinner... business dinner. Of course. Not a date. For all I know you're just as psycho as my wife was when she was Natasha and only drank Vodka and spoke Russian."
