When it Happens (Don't Mind Me)

[Liara]

“Mango...I’ve never had one.” Selene admitted as she picked up another strawberry. “But I’ve heard of them.”

[Clint Cross]

"Well then we've got a lot of catching up for you to do." Clint said with a smile. "Honestly, I think you'll enjoy it here. One thing we always discussed is helping out other displaced agents. Jackson had a number of them he messed up pretty bad. Some never really quite regained their wits. Others, we embed somewhere where they feel comfortable."

[Liara]

“Might be worth looking into once I’m comfortable here.” Selene said as she picked up a strawberry and offered it to Clint. “Did you want one?”

[Clint Cross]

"Enjoy..." Clint said as he opened up the tray and had one of the other pretzel wrapped cheese sticks. "I need something a bit more in me, not that I can't handle my booze... I should tell you, my Selene sort of gave me a transfusion once, not quite an augment but close enough to hold my own. Not that a drunk Selene isn't fun to watch."

[Liara]

“Fine I’ll just have a mouth orgasm all by myself then.” Selene said as she took the whole bowl of strawberries and the entire bottle of wine with her back to the couch. She sat them on the table and examined the blood on her shirt. “Is it going to bother you if I take this off?”

[Clint Cross]

Clint smirked. "Like i haven't seen multiple versions of you without a top on? Wouldn't bother me. I just can't speak for 'little Clint'." Clint joked as he tapped his watch. "This is why I was such a good partner." he loaded one of Selene's backup suits and it beamed into a case in his hand. "Backup suit and some civvies. Gear too. I always kept some spare uniforms and civvies in my buffer band. For a while there, it seemed like we were going through them like crazy."

[Liara]

“A man alway prepared.” Selene said as she pulled off her top revealing a black bra underneath and moved over to the pile of gear. She rummaged around until she found a fresh T-shirt and pulled it on. She’d go through the rest of it in the morning and inventory everything right now she was more concerned about her divine strawberries.

[Clint Cross]

"Hey, it helps... especially when she was still nursing. Gave her a good 'out' when she'd start leaking and needed a quick wardrobe change. 'Oh I just got called for a mission...' and come out in full battle gear." Clint chuckled. "Although she did commando raid Trinity Talon's berry farm more than once when her stash got low. I'd come home, the bike was warm and her boots had mud on them and at first I'd think 'did she go on a private mission?' and I'd see a crate on the kitchen table with a look like you've got now the 'touch my berries or die. Unless you're feeding them to me'. I really should stop talking about her to you... but I mean, you're in Intel... you should know what the version of you that's been living here was like. Not that I expect you to just slide into her role. Hell, I'm not even going to attempt to make you my partner. We'll just let that happen naturally. Like it did before. See where things go." he poured himself a glass of the moscato and sighed. "Can't entirely say I've been lonely, but I did miss talking to you and I'm not psycho like Jack who just goes off into the timeline and finds a past version to 'shag'"

“It’s alright I kind of enjoy your stories.” Selene admitted as she joined him on the couch and tried to offer him a berry again.

[Clint Cross]

"Oh alright..." Clint took a berry and ate it with the moscato. "So... no Clint Cross in your reality?"
