When it Happens (Don't Mind Me)

[Liara]

“It’s most certainly not your shampoo.” Selene said as she forced herself to pull away. She picked up the bottle of bourbon, yanked off the top, and drank deep from the bottle trying to clean her head of him.

[Clint Cross]

Clint rubbed the back of his neck and shook his head. "Well, that's a new one." he got up and started to clean up some of the food on the tray. "Sort of. Look, I'm not going to try and push you into anything."

[Liara]

“I made you uncomfortable.” Selene said standing as she sat the bottle on the table.

[Clint Cross]

"Well, last time I was with another woman besides Selene... didn't end well and she wanted to murder her. Course so did I, but still." Clint chuckled lightly. "Way too tempting. And I just met you. For all I know you're gonna live up to your code name."

[Liara]

“Now you’re making excuses.” Selene said with a smirk. “She told you something similar after the transfusion didn’t she? It did something to your chemistry. Not even Lucius smelt like that. And...I just met you too but let’s be honest we both know I wanted you dead I would have killed you in the bar. I wouldn’t be up here getting drunk with you and getting aroused off your scent like some feral animal making you very uncomfortable. I mean if you rather I try to kill you I could but it’d be a waste.”

[Clint Cross]

"Yeah... that would be a bit of a waste and Joe hates when people mess up the place." Clint said and cocked his head slightly. "I guess you could say we were made for each other, or rather re-made. Noonian did confirm our attraction wasn't just chemical, but it helped amp it up. Ten hour marathon sessions when we were trying to get some of the ol' swimmers to stick. I think we probably could have stopped at like hour two but y'know... redundancies." he ran his hand through his hair. "I know... I'm Selene catnip."

[Liara]

“It’s a pretty accurate analogy considering.” Selene said as she offered him the bottle of bourbon. “Maybe this isn’t a good idea.”

[Clint Cross]

"Oh yeah... totally not a good idea." Clint said and took the bottle and took a swig. "Especially if my kids find out... I have to live with them."

[Liara]

“How many times did you say that before doing it anyway?” Selene inquired as she took a step closer.

[Clint Cross]

"Yeah well... my daughter's the First Lady, and she was very close to her mother." Clint said as he looked at Selene. "Granted I would have a very hard time saying no right now. But would I be sleeping with a ghost?" he cocked his head slightly. "I told myself if I ever ran into another Selene I wasn't going to make her 'my' Selene... I'm just another spy guy to you right now. We haven't even gone on a mission yet."
