Kat sat underneath an overhang. Rain pattered upon the rubber coated canvas. A single yellow light pierced the dark casting a soft glow upon the thick green vegetation across the walk.

The Narlin child stirred in her arms, let out a soft annoyed whine. Kat bounced the child and patted her back. "Shhh lass. You'll do."

She had never heard the child's name, and Kat felt compelled to give her a name, and had chosen the moniker Lilith

Trinity walked out of the building and fixed her jacket. "Well, it's not as much as I think it's worth, but then again my concept of what things are actually worth is skewed, this jacket would have been worth three times what it is now in the future." she shrugged her shoulders and pulled the hood up over her head. "Still plenty to get us a shuttle, supplies and fake credentials." she peeked at the bundle. "How's she doing? I think we should stop somewhere and wait out this storm, not that ever stops raining but there's a lot of electrical activity in the atmosphere, wouldn't help us to get hit by a stray bolt and crash our new shuttle."

"Och aye, she's a bonnie wee lass to be sure. Getting a bit fussy. Doesna sound like much of a shuttle," she replied. "Ta be taken down by a bloody lightning bolt."

[Trinity Talon]

"I was twelve, heavy armored shuttle, lightning storm came out, pilot was a rookie, no not me... took a bolt, fried navigation and we crashed into a lake." Trinity pulled up the hem of her slacks. "This scar was from kicking the emergency hatch and a branch in the water nailed me. Besides, another day's travel in a small shuttle with a fussy child or a day's travel with a more... content child?"

Kat shrugged, "We are no deid. It matters little to me either way lass. Though, I dinea care for how these Ferengi look at us. I think I'd trust Bellatrix more."

[Trinity Talon]

"Oh not as bad as some of the Ferengi in old town, can't even talk to them unless you're at least topless." Trinity said with a grimace. "There's a place we can stay, old S31 hideout, mom's old codes should work."

"Aye lass. I dinae ken what a S31 hideout is exactly, but I trust ya."

[Trinity Talon]

"Shady spy org my family used to be part of." Trinity said as she guided Kat down a path and toward a row of small houses and then down an alley. "Told you it was close." she said and tapped her foot four times and then rapped her knuckles against a particular stone on the ground. "Spy games... gotta love hate them."

"Code?" a voice said through a speaker on a light pole.

"Curiosity Perplex Avian Sigma One Thea Epsilon Omega." Trinity replied, hoping that it was the right code or she and Kat would be instantly vaporized.

"Accepted." the voice replied and a door opened across the street and a light flickered on inside.

"And there's our safe house." Trinity whispered and walked across the street and went inside. "Oh yeah... User. Angelica Therese Ryder."

"Welcome. Agent Ryder. Rank. Commander." a voice said on a nearby computer. "Please restrict communications to Section 31 personnel only during your visit unless using secure communications equipment."

"Computer, secure safe house." Trinity said and removed her long coat and shook it out by the door. "It's not much, but it'll do for the night. It's an old base, mom was still a Commander when the Federation fell. Lots of little hidey holes like this still exist." she took the bundle with Jonathan off her back and laid him on on the couch. "Should probably feed them and give them their nightly injections before we get too comfortable."

"Aye," she eyed the babies and gave a grim smile. The Ferengi doctor had given Young Jonathan a clean bill of health. Of which, cost Kat her entire sum of wealth to discover. Both of the children were going to survive for the time being. The peice of mind was priceless.

"I 'll take first watch lass," Kat said. "I'll wake you at 0400."

"Thanks." Trinity pulled off her boots and stretched her toes. "Y'know... if we weren't pretty much running for our lives, I'd almost enjoy this little 'road trip'. I never really did this. Not if you count the trip from the alternate future I came from to this era."
