"Your Eyes Can Deceive You. Don't Trust Them."

After the deaths of so many, it is time to rally and fight back. The Alliance is put through it's greatest test since it's founding, but can it retain its soul and the ideals they fought so long and hard to uphold? Will the darkness overtake the light? Will the Alpha and Beta Quadrants be the same when the dust settles?

"Your Eyes Can Deceive You. Don't Trust Them."

Post by Rebecca Talon »

Rebecca pulled up to Ethan's and Trinity's in her new SUV. Setting the break she opened the door and stepped out into the dusty yard. A border collie barked it's displeasure with her arrival. Horses nickered from the barn.

Rebecca shaded her eyes from the harsh sun as she went to the back door and knocked. Mrs. Ackers answered almost immediately. Blinking in disbelief, "The General isn't home dear... uh Admiral."

Rebecca waved a dismissive hand, "Oh, I know. I'm here to speak with uh..." she hesitated, and then shrugged, "Can I speak with Trinity?"

"Come in Admiral." The house keeper lead Rebecca into the kitchen and offered her a seat at the table. "Coffee?"

Rebecca grinned, "Yes please."

Mrs. Ackers poured her a cup, and Rebecca took a satisfied sip. It was excellent cowboy coffee, sometimes referred to as camp coffee made in a simple coffee pot on the stove with cold water used tl settle the grounds. "Excellent," Rebecca said with an appreciative nodded.

Mrs. Ackers bowed her head, "Thank you dear. I'll get the Colonel for you." With that her oversized bulk left the kitchen in search of Trinity.

Trinity walked up from the basement of the house, dressed in a simple robe, carrying a small crate of metal and some other electronic parts. She wasn't really startled by Becca's arrival, she had sensed it earlier even before Mrs. Ackers started to look for her.

"Nice to see you 'mom'." Trinity said with a smile. "Was trying to figure out a way to make a lance like my kilden. I used it to trim some of the over grown berry shrubs and I thought 'if I can make a longer handle... would be a good way for my grounds keepers to keep up with them." she sat on the love seat and closed her eyes. "I'm not going to be able to do much gardening soon."

Rebecca looked Trinity over with a raised eyebrow. "You are with child?"

"Tricorder reading says so... haven't seen a doctor yet but yeah... it seems like being away from Ethan for six months sorta... helped." Trinity blushed slightly. "Readings are a little weird, I think it might be twins, but then I scan again and I see one, so I dunno. I'm an Operations officer not a doctor. But I do feel... something. So twins may not be entirely out of the question. They kinda do run in the Ryder side of the family and your's." she gave her a wink. "Grandma Becca."

"Congratulations," Rebecca said. "As far as the Sandovals... Aimee's the weird one. She had the first set of twins in the family in a few generations. I was an only child remember?"

"That's right... I still keep thinking of Becky as your little sister." Trinity said with a smile. "Even my counterpart and I kinda see each other like that, I like the name she's calling herself now. Certainly proving that even though we're the same person, technically, that we're different people now. Course, we both entirely smitten with boys named Ethan."

"He's cute as button. Even the boring old one." She said with a teasing grin.

"Oh he's far from boring..." Trinity said with a wink. "I didn't think I'd ever see him again." she closed her eyes. "Or you. Bellatrix was certainly not you in any regard. But she did teach me one thing... I need to look beyond what my eyes can see and what shows us. I saw far too many people that I 'knew' but didn't really 'know'. Even Kat... she's not the Kat Donovan we knew, in many ways she is, but there's something else in her. Something that so many in that reality lacked. Hope. I think I gave her that. At least I try to believe that I did. And those kids we rescued."

"Speaking of which. That's why I'm here. The Council, and by "Council" I mean I convinced them of the dangers of a former Ajem walking around without the guidance of our Order. I intend to bring Kat in as my apprentice."

"Depends on if she wants to be your apprentice. If she can get over going from one version of you to another. Still, if anyone can complete the journey she's on... it's you. The reality they both came from was much harsher, much less focused on altruism." Trinity said and closed her eyes. "Probably what surprised her the most about what she did for me and for the twins. Regardless what the Narlins decide, I want us to be part of their lives. We've already killed to protect them."
