When it Happens (Don't Mind Me)

[Liara]

“I think someone is projecting.” Selene said looking rather offended.

[Clint Cross]

"Then let's go down stairs." Clint gestured to the door. "Besides, if I left this apartment too late, then people would think we did something." he bumped his shoulder to her's. "I don't move that fast. We may not even like each other. Might think I'm a lightweight."

[Liara]

“I’ve already had more to drink then you.” Selene pointed out with a grin and touch his chin. “You need to catch up and Cross you’re okay. I trust you but if you ever break that trust I’ll kill you.”

[Clint Cross]

"Same in reverse." Clint said with a wink. "We'll see if you still like me after agent evals."

[Liara]

“Are you kidding me I’m going to be your best agent even after I drink you under the table.” Selene said as she opened the door.

A waitress was standing outside hand lifted in mid knock. She was holding a tray of food and two bottles.

“Sorry...ummm...Director Cross. Joe sent me up with this. He said you might be hungry and that it would probably be better if you stayed up here. There are some reporters in the bar tonight.” The waitress in formed them shyly. “Ummm it’s finger foods. Ummm strawberries, bottle of bourbon, and a bottle of moscato. I brought wine glasses I...I wasn’t sure if you had any.”

“I’m liking this Joe even more. I love strawberries.” Selene said as she took the tray from the girl.

[Clint Cross]

"Moscato and Strawberries..." Clint said under his breath. "Joe..." he shook his head "Thanks..." he reached into his pockets for a couple of bills. "Here, and thanks... last thing we need are the press." he glanced at Selene. "Yeah it was one of your counterpart's regular orders."

[Liara]

The waitress nodded and hurried back down the stairs.

“I haven’t had moscato before but Lucius use to get me strawberries as a reward when I completed really difficult missions. They were hard to come by.” Selene said as she picked up one and bit into it slowly. Her eyes practically rolled into the back of her head as the flavor exploded across her tongue. “They’re fresh.” She moaned.

[Clint Cross]

"Yeah there's a little berry ranch... family owned. They supply everyone pretty much." Clint said as he opened the moscato and poured her a glass. "Try it with this."

[Liara]

Selene took another of the berry as she took the glass of wine. After she finished chewing the berry she took a sip of the wine and let out another moan.

“It’s sweet and it brings out the flavor of the strawberry.” Selene said mesmerized. “This is the best thing I’ve ever had.”

[Clint Cross]

"If there is one thing I am entirely an expert on, it's what makes a Selene happy." Clint chuckled. "We used to have an entire wine cellar and cooler in the basement pretty much for moscato and strawberries. We experimented with mango, but that was too messy."
