When it Happens (Don't Mind Me)

Selene drained her glass and refilled it with the last of the wine.

“But she found it with you.” Selene said as she leaned closer and looked him in the eye. “What makes you so special.”

[Clint Cross]

"I could be cute and say 'stick around and find out'. But yeah we managed to make it work, neither of us were that livable around when we first met. Usually I was up in the rafters or on the roof of some building or on the catwalks above the Promenade on Byron."

[Liara]

“Like a hawk.” Selene said with a smile.

[Clint Cross]

"Well it IS how I got my codename." Clint replied. "Was originally just 'Hawk' but there's like 90 of those so we went with Hawkeye. I answer to Hawkguy a bit more now, gave Hawkeye to my finest pupil. Tali's granddaughter from an alternate future that came back. Amazing shot, better than I am honestly. More grace." he played with the cap from the wine and shot it out from his fingers and hit the bottle dead on that it bounced back into his hand. "Always had a good sense of aim."

“I’m impressed but do you really have good aim all the time.” Selene inquired a hint of playfulness in her tone.

[Clint Cross]

Clint picked up one of the strawberries and flicked it directly into her empty glass. "When I want to. Always had a knack at geometry. I'm not as big a fan of guns since little things can throw off the aim, different metals used in shell casings, the gunpowder, how much rifling is in the barrel, one shot I may miss, two and three... they're where I want them to be. Although with you, pretty much anything is a one shot kill shot. Unless you're aiming to wound. I've been able to shoot a man in the skull in the right part of the brain where it wouldn't kill him at least with medical attention, but would screw with his short term memory."

She plucked the strawberry out of her glass and popped it into her mouth grinning at him.

“So pretty much you never miss.” Selene stated picking up a strawberry and biting into it slowing. “Even in bed?”

[Clint Cross]

Clint laughed. "There were many things I annoyed her with, but... that wasn't one of them. I had to remind her a few times that I don't miss there... she lost her memory more than once. Bloodstone used to screw with her memories after a mission. Between those and Jackson... but yeah... " He blushed slightly.

She studied his face for signs he was lying. All men like to boast of their sexual prowess, or lack there of, in bed. Clint didn’t have any of those signs. He hadn’t lied to her from the moment the met and she could see why her counterpart had trusted him. What made him so special.

“I know what makes you special now.” Selene stated with a grin as she leaned in real close and took a deep breathe.

Clint’s scent hit her augmented senses hard. It was almost primal and overwhelming in its intensity making her feel light headed. She never experienced anything like it before not even with Lucius who was an augment, of course he was considered lower on the genetic spectrum.

“You’re intoxicating.” Selene said softly.

"So you like my smell?" Clint said with a slight smile. "Remind me never to change my shampoo."
