When it Happens (Don't Mind Me)

[Liara]

“Forget about your daughter and forget about me.” Selene said as she closed the distance between them and looked into his eyes. “What do you want, Clint?”

[Clint Cross]

"I know I kind of hate being single." Clint replied and looked into her eyes. "Loner isn't really me anymore. What about you? What do you want Selene Lanara?"

[Liara]

“I don’t know.” Selene said honestly. “But I could give you tonight.”

[Clint Cross]

"Well I am free tonight." Clint raised an eyebrow. "Take it a night at a time."

[Liara]

“I have a list of things I could say in response to that, but you’ve probably heard them before. Instead I’ll just say we’ll see.” Selene said as she breathed him in and bit her lip. “I’m not really relationship material Cross and kids…I’m not healthy for those. But we both have needs.”

[Clint Cross]

"Well, you always hated that the Calhoun twins practically idolized us. Kinsey wanted us to train them since she was pretty much a danger magnet, still is. After working with Tali for the past few weeks... I can see where she got it from." Clint said with a smirk. "Must have been a full time job. Like I said, take it a day or night at a time. Like I said not going to push you one way or another. If it happens, it happens, if it doesn't... well... then lightning didn't strike twice."

[Liara]

“Then stop talking.” Selene said as she took the bottle of bourbon from him and took a swig. “Or it wont strike once.”

[Clint Cross]

Clint gave her a look. "Then make me stop talking." he said and cocked his head and kissed her on the lips.

[Liara]

The bottle of bourbon fell to the floor as she wrapped her arms around his neck and pressed her body closer to his. The kiss deepened as her hands worked their way down to the hem of his shirt.

“Shit!” She exclaimed as cold alcohol touched her bare foot. “Damn what a waste.”

[Clint Cross]

"There's plenty more where that came from." Clint said as he undid her belt. "Those feet smelling like bourbon is not the worst thing in the world."
